@thesupersingh Well I guess it depends on what things we are speaking about. Because yes, a lot of things are better to us because we grew up with it. So we feel nostalgic towards things we used to be apart of or listen to etc. But there are also some cool things about new things or new changes.

@Daljinder ....so....you're dreaming about the future? lol
Have you been thinking, reading, watching anything about this subject? Could it be a subject you hid away for awhile and now it's coming back? It's a nightmare indeed! Wishing for your dreams to become happier! Doesn't it just annoy you though? When so much negativity is happening around the world that our very own dreams, the time we are meant to relax, can scare us....

@VivaLaDani13 Speaking of nightmares, dude I have been having the weirdest dreams since last three nights. From the world going into anarchy, law enforcement shooting down everyone seen out and about, currency rendered obsolete, people sequestered away or hidden in bunkers/ underground.... to name a few

@VivaLaDani13 I hope to hell it isn't the future but who am I kidding? We are so gearing up for that sort of future. Sigh!
I don't have nightmares as a norm. IF I do, I don't remember them or recall them. Even if I am bothered by them I am not for long. See I can be bothered by stuff only as long as I choose to. I have learned to change my mind's focus to not feel bad feelings like hate, resentment, anger, sadness etc.. for long period of times.

I have nightmares about old times. Every mistake I made stars in my dreams so I don't think I can say old times are always better.

@thesupersingh meh... even silly stupid ones that kids make. I being super sensitive being gets haunted by them too.
Or the embarrassing moments or the difficult situations that I could have handled better. Now that I am wiser, I realise my wrongs and I get bothered how naive and impressionable I was.

I miss the good old days as much as anyone but I'm also thankful for the changes that the new things have brought.

There is comfort in simpler times and nostalgia of youth.

We feel that the old times are better because those happened while we were young and innocent. We are not aware of the evils of those times. Earning money and taking care of children are not on our task lists. Because of these, we were able to focus on the good things. We associated our positive emotions as children to the past, so we think it is better than the present.
