Hello friends! How are all of you?how's day going so far? Mine is good!
The fruit in the pic is actually called, star gooseberry( Phyllanthus acids). It has also got other names too! This fruit belongs to the family, phyllanthaceae. In my place,it is season, this fruit grows everywhere.. but I don't have any gooseberry tree nearby my house :-( But I like this star gooseberry very very much....! It is small when compared to the actual gooseberry, and also it has sour taste. The sour taste of the fruit makes me mouth watering whenever I think of this fruit..! But now I am going to my grandmother's house.so there I'll eat lots of star gooseberries until my wish ends...lol...
It is called as "aranellikaai " in Tamil and " aranellikaai" in Malayalam.
Do you know about star gooseberry?
what is this fruit called as ,in your place?

I have these in my garden and most fall off the tree. I make juice which is quite refreshing.

I have a couple of gooseberry bushes in my garden. I do not think they are star gooseberry though.

@Lignitecityabishek96 these bushes are quite old but they give green and purple gooseberries every summer. They have been pruned and cut back and dug around many times.
