Bad News Travels Fast, Good News Not So Much

Don`t you think that is strange how people are more interested in bad news than good news? When something bad happens people are eager to read or listen.
I find this also with blogs. When you write about accomplishments the get a couple hundred views, but write about failure, included in the title, and Bam! you get a thousand views.
I reckon misery loves company.
What are your thoughts about the good and the bad?

Bad news always travels faster than good news. I think people like to be angry more than not. I find that very sad. Just like with things going on in this country now. It is so split and people are more angry today that ever before. I am so tired of the bull I don't want more anger or drama in my life.

@andriaperry I think most of us want contentment not drama. But the world has become a violent place.

Yes, it is funny how that is. I once read a book by Andy Rooney who kind of pointed out that good news is boring..like saying..A plane flew from Denver to Washington..it got their safely. It was on time with no issues. One of the passengers was quoted as saying..he didn't like the fake milk they served with the coffee! lol...I think that is why we pay more attention to bad news.

Maybe the curious minds get more curious finding about the bad or negative news than the good ones. I think it's similar to situations when someone is at fault and you are expecting them to apologize but if you're on the other side of the situation it's difficult for you to say sorry.

I dont know, I am very curious and I like to hear about what works more than what does not.
I always apologize if I am wrong, although I know people who think they are never wrong.

I think, What made people got interested with the bad news are things to be learned about or there are a lot in their minds to think about

I guess one can learn from the bad, like "don`t do that!"

@Susan2015 Sad isn't it? We should be happy and ready to congratulate our friends on the good that happens in their lives, not applaud during the bad times.

One negative comment makes you forget 99 good ones.
