I dislike professional sports for a number of reasons.

Firstly, watching a bunch of people whose names I don't know, running around tossing a ball around at random, is freaking boring. Second, these people are paid millions of founding fathers to play these silly games, when that money could and should be going towards cancer research, ending world hunger, and the development of fully integrated mechanical prosthetics. I could go on, but I choose not to.

I don't watch Super Bowl as we are not into that game. The people here are more into basketball so NBA is a big thing here. I love watching the NBA finals only.

I can understand your aversion to American team sports, which I find very difficult to get excited about. Americans don't seem to want to watch anything that lasts for more than about ten minutes at a time, and the action just seems to be the same thing repeated time after time. There are plenty of team sports that I do enjoy watching, but they are all non-American in origin!

I have a completely opposite view than yourself : professional players are part of a business not costing a cent to the taxpayer, they are paid according to the number of people watching their matches, and the business and the players are paying taxes. On the opposite many athletes are relying on the money paid by the state to (sur)vive : swimmers, runners, etc. These people are not paid millions, but it is public money, and this public money could be used better elsewhere.

I do not enjoy watching sports but it doesn't bother me that others love it.

I dislike sports in general, especially if I have to perform myself. :-) Yet, I must concede that it would be nonsense to abolish games and sportive events completely. Since the beginning of time, people have always enjoyed watching and participating in sports. Life would be unbearable if you were always only serious and sensible. Yet, there should be a financial limit. What's going on in the sports business is obscene.

I never said we need to abolish games. All I said was I don't like professional sports.

Yes, people need entertainment and they spend millions, if you want to make millions, become a football player in the NFL. Football is the livest game yet. Action packed!!

I don't understand people who get most of their entertainment by watching sports. Like... have you heard of movies?
