Raising A Red Flag

To raise a red flag, meaning - to alert or let someone know that danger or trouble may lie ahead. We may see those red flags or signs which warn us - in our relationships, our job, our health and other situations as we go through life.
I must admit that I ignored one or two very glaring red flags shortly after meeting my husband (now ex). I was so smitten, that I brushed all warning signs aside and married him anyway. I paid a heavy price for not heeding those signs.
Have you encountered any red flags lately - whether at home , work or play? Do you ignore them or take heed?

Am very sorry about what you went through. Its never pleasant to feel rejected, particularly by the ones we love, its really painful I swear. The thing is love is on the way, it would always come looking for you. It definitely would ok. You would surely get to meet someone that's better. That's how life is.

I have not received any red flag signals but I do try to follow my intuitions now and again.

@LovelyxOdd I think many of us do that during the "sparkle" stage of a relationship.

@Kandae11 nope my dad took from me $700 each month when I was working , 27 years ago. Never paid me a single cent. He said he borrowed from me because he need money for running his business which became a failure. ANyway, he never appreciated the money I lent it to him over the years.

Difficult if they come in sheep's clothing.

I haven't always, but I try to listen to my red flags or intuition. I find myself saying, "I knew I should have done...." whatever it was. I'm sorry your marriage didn't work out.

That's right - intuition is almost the same, but it works for something good as well - not only bad. About my marriage, there is a saying "You make your bed, you lie on it". Thankfully I realized my mistake and got out of it before matters became worse.

I have had some recently health wise and no I don't ignore them. I am a bit of a hypochondriac about my health

I sometimes do actions to avoid its effects and I sometimes ignore it and suffer at the end.

@gigil_etb You'll have to think it through carefully and make a sensible plan. Good luck.

@Kandae11 you can say that again. Actually I am in that moment. As of now, I am still thinking of things to eventually get away. It's stressful.
