What Happened When You Cook While Hungry?

Hello fellow Mylotters. I have not posted a discussion for a while. I just came in for commenting and liking after reading your posts when I popped on here. So busy for my offline life. I have not even cooked for 2 days. It was hubby who cooked for me. Of course the food was then German.
I had the time today for cooking and was craving for Filipino food. I checked what we had in our kitchen cupboard and saw that we still had Asian noodles. The white rice noodles and the yellow egg noodles. There was also chicken filet and some veggies in the fridge.
I made chicken filet fried noodles. This recipe is called Pansit or Pancit. I have made plenty and I think we will be eating this for 3 days if I will not freeze the leftover.
Now I have observed that whenever I am hungry and cooking food, the outcome is that I could feed a dozen of hungry men and women. How about you?

If I make soup I tend to make a huge pot of it and then we eat it for days and can't even finish it, so it goes into the garbage. But not because I am hungry when I make it. I never know how much is enough. I try not to make too much when I cook, whether I am hungry at the time or not.
Now I don't really do that, but there are people who, when cooking while being hungry, keep trying the food and trying the food, and by the time they are done cooking they are not hungry anymore.

@thelme55 I never like freezing prepared food. Whatever I don't finish goes in the garbage or as I call it sanitation donation.

@lovebuglena I see. I don't like to waste food as I experienced hunger as a child. Really hunger which means nothing to buy food.

Hello @thelme55 I would have a snack while cooking for some noodles. But I cooked something while hungry I would have probably ate all of them.

Lol. You would really sound so hungry eating all the food you cook @Letranknight2015

Nope! I could eat for a dozen hungry men. Perhaps you are overcompensating because you are hungry?

It must be real tough missing and craving for the food that you are used to, so your cooking volume is diectly proportional to your hunger

It is no longer so tough compared in the 80's when there was no Asian shop nearby @louievill. Yes, the volume was equal to my hunger.

I tend to taste and munch a little while I'm cooking and if I'm not careful, I won't even be hungry when it all gets done!

I was tasting the food while cooking but not so much that it made me full. I didn't like the idea of letting my man eating alone while I am at home. That's unfair. Thanks @1creekgirl
