Mylot , Discussions -- no comment.

When I first joined mylot well over a year ago, I felt it was absolutely necessary that I should leave a comment on every response received - after all - that member did take the time to respond -and responses do add up.
However I have realized that it would be wiser not to comment on some responses received. Especially those which seem geared to tempt one to lose their cool - and maybe fly off the handle. Some are best ignored and a few , best deleted. Thankfully I have been forced to delete only four responses since I have been here - and the last of that four as recently as last week.
I decided to ignore the recent response by one particular member who seems on a mission to ruffle my feathers. I have commented on his responses to my discussions , I have deleted one response and I have ignored one - but if he continues in this vein - what will my next step be?. I have never blocked anyone before, but that button might come in handy quite soon.
Do you usually comment back on every response received on your discussions? Has a response ever made you lose your cool?

I always leave a like on comments. Most times there is nothing new or interesting to add.

Yes and I just deleted the comment. Like I said I have only blocked one for calling me names because I believe in God.

Usually I comment back, although I can omit to do it if the response is a "thank you" response made to earn a cent. The only comments or responses I have ever deleted were spam posts out of topic to promote something. If the comment is insulting/abusive, I just report it without commenting back, and I let an admin decide if it should be deleted or not.

If you delete them, it doesn't cost you anything. Once the comment is made, you've already been paid for it. It's like deleting a discussion. You lose nothing but your number count and the discussion itself. But you were already paid for it before you deleted it.

You do not have to block but just ignore which I do and delete those responses or comments which you feel vitiate your discussions.

Yes, I have not only blocked a couple of weirdos, but reported them as well. I usually leave a like or a simple thank you. Some I have stopped following, because they copy my ideas, words, expressions, etc. I know they still read my discussions, but I don't give a hoot anymore.

I comment back on every response and rarely need to delete. I have once or twice but that particular person didn't last long here. I mostly refuse to get dragged into controversy and try to put something like 'thanks for your comment' if I get stuck. But if someone is continually baiting me, I'd block them.

I have to think carefully before decide or not decide to answer something. If I see something is explained wrong then I have to get in there and explain it the right way. I do ignore some because I personally do not like the person and their attitude.

Sometimes I get stuck for words, struggling to find anything to say. And when that happens, I leave it unanswered and just like it instead...

I would like to comment on every response but sometimes it's best to not comment at all. Don't won't to comment just for the sake of commenting or replying, especially if it's a short generic comment. But then again, I've probably done that enough times.

Yes,,, I do. But when I couldn’t log for sometime, the notifications get deleted automatically and I won’t be able to find them and respond.
