It takes only a deranged mind to do this sort of senseless, mindless things. How can one not read in peace in a public library again? On Saturday in Boston a woman was stabbed to death in a public library. She was quietly reading her books when the man walked in with a hunting knife.
Do you sometimes wonder why so many people are acting deranged? May God save us from mental misfits.
WINCHESTER, Mass. — A man attacked a woman from behind at a public library near Boston on Saturday and stabbed her repeatedly with a hunting knife, killing her and injuring an elderly man who came …

OMG! Whether it's in a library or at Vegas or a school, sadly murder did happen. It's so very unsettling when you are in a public place, like where I go riding the bus, it doesn't occur to me that something bad is going to happen. I reach home, quickly get comfortable and relax. Then you see the news, or get a news alert on your cell about a tragic incident. Gosh I got to the library for many things like print out of documents, borrow recipe books and I like going to the library. Once when I was at the library borrowing the internet computer. I noticed when I sat down, there was fresh blood on the keyboard. I blinked and didn't realize it was blood, but when I did, I went to the librarian and told her what I found. She called security. They surveyed the area and found a razor in the little note keeping box. I couldn't use the computer, felt like I was melting and as the security asked me about who might have been there before me; I told security by the time I arrived the computer was totally vacant. I'm a Senior Citizen, so I've been going for decades to the library. This was the first time something violent happened and I was the one who was reporting seeing blood at the library!

I agree with you. I still go to the library now and right after the incident. It makes you feel funny for children go to the library and have their own section. I'm a Senior Citizen and I started to go to the library when I was 8 years old. Nothing ever happened except that it was the quietest place on Oahu. I just got more cautious from then on.

My condolences to the family of the woman. It is very sad one cannot just sit in a library and read. It is very sad that there are so many terrible people in this world that cannot let others be. People listen to others and then put it in their head that the person is right which is not always the right way to look at things. There are too many people spreading lies today.
