Can you imagine your daily food without salt in it. If ever its suggested to have food without even a pinch of salt in it, can you? I have tried my regular food without any salt in it. The food taste's completely different then it does with that pinch of salt in it. Image Credit:- Pixabay.

We need some amount of salt in our body - not too much of course - in order for our cells to function properly. I do not eat salty snacks but I prefer some in my food.

@mlgen1037 I just have never cared for salt, figure hubby can add his own if he thinks something needs it.

I agree with this. Ever since my dad had stroke, our diet changed from salt to NO salt.

We should not exceed, but a little salt is needed to enhance the taste of food.

@nitirrbb7 The ancient Roman soldiers were paid with salt, because it was a very precious good. This is why we now call what is paid for our job "salary", from salt.

No way dear friend @nitirrbb7! I always add salt in my food if needed! but one of my friend never adds anything to his food at any time as he believes that every thing is nice to eat and God has decided that food for him for that particular time! I really feel strange about him! Thanks!

Adding raw salt is bad for my health. I just eat the little salt added in the curry.

Yes, it changes the taste of food. I know that many people put salt on the raw veggies like cucumber or tomato, but I never do it.

I don't mind food without salt although it does taste better with a small amount. Too much salt is bad for you and can have an effect on your blood pressure so I don't add much to my cooking.

Yeah a pinch is more than enough for taste in our food. Excess use of salt does increase the blood pressure and it could turn fatal for our health.

I can't live without having salt in my food. It's essential as gives taste to the food, also it helps in cooking food easily. Salt contains iodine in it which essential for our body.
