Baking Day

I don't know how many people can go through life without any kind of sweets. My guess, is not many. Me included.
For almost seven months I've been without sweets of any kind. That ended today. No, I am not cheating on the Whole30 diet.
With the almond flour I bought yesterday, my mind started thinking about other things I could do, especially as those pancakes, made again today, turned out so absolutely to die for delicious.
I know you can substitute applesauce for sugar, I even verified that before starting. I clarified two sticks of butter while I was making my pancakes, and when I finished eating, I started making my cookies - chocolate cookies. As you can see in the picture above. I'm just waiting for them to cool enough to eat. I've already taken advantage of the cook's privilege of scraping the bowl, and if that is any indication how good the cookies will be, they will be perfect.
Anybody for a cookie? Have you done any baking lately? Thanks for reading.

For some reason baking is not what we usually do at home now unlike when I was young, wish we did, it's always buy, buy since we live near a bake shop and the mall is not far, miss those home baked goodies wish I could have some of yours lol, I'm hungry and it's 3:34 am and I just woke up.

You are very strong as you could spend seven months without sweeties. Did your diet go well? Did you loose some weights?

@just4him Yes, I read that you made them from almond flour which is also healthy. Congrats! Losing 30 pounds is a really good result.

I'm sorry the slow cooker red velvet spoon brownies didn't turn out. They're very good. I still have some left. But not for long.

I don't know many who stay away from sweets. And I'm glad you don't have to anymore, without it effecting your diet. So exciting for you.
I've only made banana bread from the box lately. But do want to make the tollhouse chcoolate chip cookies soon

I've never had banana bread from a box. I would think it would be easy to make from scratch. My son's girlfriend makes the best banana bread. I love Toll House cookies.
Yes, it is great I found a way to take care of my sweet tooth. I don't get it often, but I guess being away from it for seven months was more than usual for me, and I needed something.

@Courtlynn I believe it from what you post about what you eat and when. I never ate that much sweets, not even when I wasn't on this diet.

Yes, it does. These are particularly healthy in every regard. No sugar in them. Nothing harmful to the body. And they taste good.
