how to stop someone who complains unreasonably

There are times people just keep on going on complaining and complaining. This or that isn’t right; that should have been done the other way round. I used to feel sorry for them. Now I don’t. I just think they should stop. If you can’t change something or offer suggestions on how to change it, just endure it. When someone goes on like this I take a break from the person. They can’t change their personality. Any suggestion you offer always rebounds back on you. It is because they are selfish and self-centered to the core. They are seeking only what interests them. I have feelings of my own; my own problems. I really don’t want to add to what is already troubling me. And the funny part – they just talk and talk not allowing you to talk. I don’t know if anyone has a successful technique for a person like this?

There are people who are only happy if they complain. You cannot change them, the only way is to take a break from them.

Haha. Imagine living in a house with such a person. Complaining can make one feel all his heads are being torn apart. Have you met anyone like that in a relationship?

@LadyDuck How did you cope? What did you do to help her or what do you do when she starts on her rantings?

What would you suggest?

@Kandae11 Sometimes it's about the neighbors and their children, other times the in-laws, sometimes nothing in general just happy to complain about being bored.

@mydanods That would depend on what the complaint is about.

Okay. Treat all sites differently and take them at their merit. Some sites are slow earners while others you can earn fast.

@hereandthere I have to confess, I have mixed the rules sometimes. When you are working on several sites at the same time, you tend to do this.

I believe there is usually a reason to why people become all negative. It is frustrating for us. ...but we can never know their full story. Nobody is born with negativity.... the environment and situations that people go through make them a certain way. Obviously, if your friend has not told you the main thing that troubles him, that made him so critical, he might not tell you even if you ask. For your own peace of mind you can try distancing yourself.

I need that peace of mind and tranquility. I don't know how to tell him to just stop it; everyone has a problem and he's not the only one not happy with the way the world has gone. I'll leave him whenever he starts on his rantings.
