I know all the ladies and mothers here on mylot have something to add to this except for us the men who leave the groceries to the women. I might be surprised though.
So, how many times a week do you go to the grocery store? If you don't go there, who in the home does the groceries and how often?

I tend to go a couple of times a week. Once a month I will buy things to last for the month, and then sometimes I find I need a few items for a recipe that I want to make.

I am the lucky woman whose boyfriend does the groceries.

I go to the grocery store pretty often. I would say every two or three days. I usually spend money as it comes in. When I get some I will head to the store if I need something and it seems I almost always do.

There are three families in our home at the moment: My parents, my daughter and I and then my brother and his son. We all go once a week usually. My brother shops for his family, but sometimes he gives me the money and I shop for him. I shop for my daughter and myself and my parents both do grocery shopping although my dad does most these days as mom has a hard time after her cancer. Oh and I see more men at the grocery store here than women.

@mydanods It is. Took me a bit to get used to it. It used to be the most "shopping" the men would do was pick up a gallon of milk and eggs at the convenience store on their way home from work. Being armed with a coupon book and grocery cart, wandering the store for more than 30 mins? Not so much. Actually my dad is still embarrassed to carry the coupon book.

I go to the grocery twice a week for our ingredients, biscuits and bread, but most of the time I bought my veggies, pork and fruits in our Public Market nearby. When I am not available my husband does our groceries.

I go with my husband about twice a month. But he goes oftener because he works in town and so if we need milk or bananas or something he stops on the way home and picks up the items we are in need of. He always calls me from work to ask if we need something before he comes home. Sometimes he knows already. We live 22 miles from town and I don't drive in winter or after dark so it helps for him to pick up items since he is already there.

whenever we go to church, we often drop by a grocery store situated near the church

My husband LOVES to shop, while I really don't like to. He picks and chooses most of our groceries, with me tagging along, at times. During the week, I usually run to pick up a few items, a couple different times. The big shopping, gets done about every other week.

@mydanods I've never known a man who actually loves to shop! He has nine sisters, so that probably answers my question:)

My wife does most of the grocery shopping, but I go along with her. She and I like to shop together. I sometimes find some extra things that I pay for separately so as not to take away from her. We both share in the expenses though.
