I then copy and paste it too.

@silvermist It hasn't happened often and I have usually managed to get them back but I'm not even sure what I pressed. I hadn't actually finished it, I was at the end. Yes the image was from pixabay and expressed how I was feeling at the time.

Hello, Silvermist! You know how to bring back the accidentally deleted discussion, right? If not, read my response to Sprite. I explained how to fix that problem there.

@sprite1950 The problem wasn't a key you accidentally pressed, Sprite. The problem you encountered happened because of fallible human nature. When we are typing, we don't pay attention to where our mouse pointer is located. If that pointer is inside the box we are typing into, then any random bump to that pointer deletes the words in that box. The best way to keep that from happening is to make sure your pointer is never in the box after you start typing. BUT, that can create another type of problem for you, too.

It hasn't happened for a while but it sometimes happens when I try to put up a picture that is too big and needs resizing.

@nela13 If I think I am going to have a problem I will copy and paste mine so that it doesn't get lost. It's been ok recently though.

@sprite1950 I think I will start to write my discussions first in a text editor, this way the text is always saved.

@sprite1950 This is why some people write up their posts elsewhere, save it, then copy/paste here. I used to do that, but these days I just write on the fly . . . so if it's gone, it's truly gone !

@sprite1950 I tried opening the discuss window again once and found out it was still there. At the very least ctrl A and then ctrl C will safe. ---- must be jinkst just hit the tab button here.

@kobesbuddy It's so annoying isn't it! When I first joined the site it seemed very glitchy and would often freeze but it seems better now.

@kobesbuddy But it's hard work down the drain. Do you save your discussions?

@sprite1950 I use to get upset, when my discussion wouldn't submit! Now, it happens quite often, so I've accepted it as a normal mishap.

@dya80dya I'm too clumsy on my phone, it takes me too long to type something out.

@houda28 yes I typed it out and then lost it so it didn't get posted.

@houda28 It wasn't deleted, I didn't even post it, I just pressed a wrong key and it disappeared. I think you can ask admin if you want to know why your discussions were deleted.

@sprite1950 It happens to me three times. I still don't understand why would mylot delete my posts when I didn't break any policy.
