This green filled tree with its strong edged leafs, provides a great home for this little hummingbird. In fact me and this little bird became good friends. Where I am standing to take his picture was steps away from my front door.
I had two feeders set up for him, one in his tree, and one beside my door. He would come hover right in front of me as I sipped my coffee.
The sound of his wings breath taking, the sound of his chirp unique from the rest of the birds.
He owned that tree, and would fight off any other bird bigger them him, I admire that, the strong survive no matter how tiny.

Many years ago before we moved here, a hummingbird built a nest right outside our front window. The kids and I watched for months as the eggs were laid and the birds hatched out and grew up. We were very grateful to get to watch this unfold so close to us.

You are so lucky to capture that hummingbird picture. I have had hummingbirds visit a few times. Would have enjoyed having a picture similar to that one.
