Well, ain't I just adulting in the world!
Really it isn't that big of an adult thing, but I am super proud of it.
Over the weekend my mom was fixing up my closet while I was over at my dad's. We are trying to deter mice from our house and I was right all along. there was a hole in my floor.
And also I was right that my floor was getting wet and also smelled wet and my mom didn't believe me until she cleaned up my closet and saw there was a hole in the wall that she patched up.
But the reason why none of these things were seen before is that it was basically the abyss back there. It was blocked by a shelf rack thing that was old and falling apart. And to the side of that was just bags and random stuff being tossed back there since I was like 15. I honestly don't remember the last time it was cleaned back there because it was just stuff that was not needed.
My mom cleaned that out and put a board in to block from any creatures coming into the house or anything being sucked into the abyss.
So I needed to replace the rack and I bought this cute drawer! I love it, it looks so nice.
This is the first time I ever bought furniture for myself and it was needed. Now I can put my 5 million notebooks inside of it and they won't get wet or fall out and be stepped on and I can be organized!
I am thinking of cleaning another rack I have that I had since I was probably 7, no joke, 7 years old that I have been wanting to get rid of for years but it is also filled with note books and it is falling apart and everything and I can put the stuff that is in that in the drawers as well!
Ahh I am so happy and it is so pretty!

@DesirousDreamer don't grow up so fast though - adulthood is a trap!

It looks like the plastic kind of small dresser things I have bought my kids. They warp if anything not light is out on top of in them. My kids have them for their crafts and for socks etc. They are a low cost alternative to big very expensive wooden dressers. Sounds wonderful that area is cleaned out now and the hole is repaired so nice and wetness and odor won't be able to come in.

Yeah it isn't going to have very heavy things on it. Just notebooks really haha and the stuff on top was just randomly put there haha.
It is nice to have my roof so fresh!

It does look durable. Is it made of some kind of plastic?

That will be a huge improvement. Good for you. Having a bit of good storage space can make a huge difference to your room.

I just have a lot of clutter. As a creator it is all just books and art materials and such

I just moved into a new place and had to ditch a lot of my furniture. It was very old and falling apart. The only furniture I have right now are my sofa and my bed. To be creative until I can get new furniture, I stacked a few cardboard boxes and use them as end tables for my lamps. :-)

I had the same situation when I moved into my apartment, and then my ex and I started getting furniture from his friends. but we broke up and I moved back home and have been wanting to make my room much more me.
