I'm So Angry That I Have to Repeat Myself

Anybody remember the movie “Conspiracy Theory” (1997) with Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts. If you do then you remember the character Mel Gibson played because he used to get really annoyed when people would make him repeat himself. I found I related to his character so much, because I also get very annoyed when people keep making me repeat myself. But there was a discussion on Facebook about allowing teachers to have guns. The question was “Should we arm teachers with guns?” I responded. But I'm so angry I have to repeat myself. So please excuse me good people and let me vent my frustration. AGAIN!! ? * * * My response: INCREDIBLE!! First of all God Bless Teachers. God knows that just teaching kids is STRESSFUL! * Does anybody remember physical punishment in schools? Remember when it was discontinued? Remember WHY? Parents didn't trust to have enough good judgment to spank their kids with a ruler or paddle for being rude. The parents said … THAT WASN'T THE TEACHER'S RESPONSIBILITY to discipline their children!! * Now people are saying we got a bunch angry mentally unstable teenagers with access to assault weapons and NOW we want to BURDEN THE TEACHERS and WE'RE GOING TO TRUST THEM to have a gun around our children all day long!! (O.o) * Uuumm … why exactly are we all on board with this plan? (???) * * * I'm calm now. Thank you.

This is the first time I read about such a thing. I don't think that's a good idea, even in a decent setting. If not for the teachers, any of the students knowing this fact, could use it to hurt other kids too.

You're like me. I can imagine all kinds of "unintended consequences".

@cmoneyspinner Yes, especially for a deadly weapon.

I totally agree with you! Arming the teachers is not the answer.

@cmoneyspinner It seems that children now have more common sense than the adults.

Good for you. Arming teachers is just ludicrous.
