Is dating for almost 7 years too long?

My boyfriend and I will celebrate our 7th anniversary in May. Our relationship went through a lot of ups and downs but I can say that we are still happy together. Currently, he is working in South Korea. He went there September of 2017. Hopefully, I could follow him there so we could see each other again. I am just sharing this to know your insight. Are 7 years too long?

Congrats! I don't think that it's too long. We spend our 7th year together with my boyfriend, too.

@anikoonline Thank you very much. I wish this is not our last year. Some people in my country believe that we should get married before the 7th year or else we will tragically break up.I don't know why but some people say it is true.

My brother was dating for 10 years before they decided to marry. I think that if you feel comfortable, it's not a problem.

First of all, Congrats! You won't mind counting years, if you're happy. Even 20 years then will seem small. Glad to hear that you have completed 7 years together.

@judyann21 You shouldn't listen to what people say. Just be loyal and have faith in your relation. And are you both planning to get married?

@akanksha12 of course we have plans but I guess we still need some time. You know, we need to be financially stable first. Commodities are getting expensive and we want to be prepared for that.

No such thing as too long for someone who truly love each other. How long has he been working in Korea? Hope your relationship stays strong despite the distance.

No, dating 7 years is not too long. I've dated my fiancé for over 7 years, now we're engaged. That just shows you two are doing well. Any thoughts or considerations on getting married?

I have been with my fiance seven years. Some people stay together forever and never marry. It is whatever works fir the couple, everybody is different.

Congrats for your anniversary. Are you a self employed person. This is because you said you could join him there to be with him. In which field do you work ? Sorry dont feel offended but I also wanna be self employed. That is why I am asking you.

Nope. I had a relatioship longer than that but it seems that we just started. I have friends who were together for more than 10 years yet they are still sweet with each other.
