My job or personal life?

A little bit about myself: I used to spend 8 hours every day working on a computer. When I got home from work, there's nothing I love doing more than opening up my own PC and either browsing some sites (like myLot), or playing games for a small audience. The thing is, I don't think that's a healthy life style. I used to spend 12 hours a day behind a screen. I currently don't have that job anymore (company ran down), and now that time's reduced to maximum 9 hours a day. Still a lot, but I do feel a positive difference after a few months. Now I was wondering: what should I do for work now? As a junior software developer, I get paid well, and when I improve I can get paid even more. But it's not a passion and over the years I worked there, I realized I'm not a teamplayer, which seems to be a key element in this trade. So for my own health, I feel like I can't have both. I have to look for a new kind of job or stop using a computer for other than work. And just so you know: I tried drawing, writing, self defense, workouts, drumming, animal care, economics, I traveled, did many sports, and out of everything, there's nothing as fun as what I'm able to do on a computer. So I'm basically giving up most of my life for a job if I'd choose that option. How do you feel about this? What do you think I should do? Or what would you do if you'd had to choose?

I am sorry. If if was me, I would choose my personal well-being. I need to reassess and put things in order again so that I fully function again when I go back to work. But this time, I do not call it work. I call it Passion.

@Dracindo try out Steemit.com, experts column.com, rapidworkers.com, bitlanders, forumcoin.com, postloop.com, reviewstream.com, Inboxdollars, slicethepie and many more sites like Humanitica.com, infobarrel.com etc. for writing works. Also do tell me what health issues do you face at present that are hurting you the most?

Got any suggestions for such sites? I'm not familiar with the blogging/writing world.

I think that is an unhealthy lifestyle. Too much time in front of a computer.

In my free time it's no problem. I know my limits and can take long enough breaks. But if I were to take a break between every hour, I'd spend my entire day working. That's not a lifestyle worth working for.

I was also not keen on my work area - finance and accounts. The deadlines and collating various data was not easy and I had to answer the bankers, auditors etc. However, I chose to work at a slower pace and that meant less income. Overall that was a good decision though I couldn't afford luxuries. Maybe, you can learn something from my experience - siva

@Dracindo You have to sit down and figure out what you really like or do research to find things that interest you.

Well, I already am starting up my Twitch channel, but I'd still need work. Making a livestream job affordable could easily take years for it to become profitable. It's a hard world

Maybe you can go to freelancer and bid a job then work at home. Can enjoy surfing the internet at the same time.

You should try to balance your life, a little less in front of your computer, a bit more or real life. Focus on what you really want to do. Go back to school, if necessary, but find a job you enjoy to do.

I'd stick with what I was trained to do or return to school for a different field of work. That's up to you. Of course, you may be quite happy working for another firm.
