Goal Update

A week ago I posted on how I'm aiming for $100,000 through writing efforts. At the time, I was trying to get my first increment at $100 done, to get my total for the year up to $600. That's been accomplished, so my next target is $700.
A total of 2 new stories were published since the last post, and the total needed stories for the 100k goal went from 10,000 to 8,500. That just goes to show that the numbers based on averages and time is not consistent. Just earning a little was enough to knock 1500 stories off the needed amount! I'm sure that number will continue to fall, but it doesn't change the fact that I will need to write and publish hundreds more in the future to meet my goal.
So again, current target is $700 for the incremental total (at increments of $100). Today is the 83rd day of the year. Will I be able to reach that by my next update a week from now?
Let's see if my writing efforts pay off a week from now!

@lovebuglena For now, I haven't written anything long enough to assemble the material together to make any print-on-demand paperbacks yet. Someday, for sure!

@OneOfMany You can always do a collection of different works, like an anthology.

@pgntwo Well, most new work put out for sale is ignored, so I'm sure there will be a period of that happening. :D

Well, I have devoted over half my life to learning in this field, so it is my business in a sense... that I'm only getting into it now is my biggest shame. So I'm aiming high to make up for my years lost in learning the process!
At the very least, I have acquired a lot of knowledge for writing material in that time. :)

You certainly won't earn that much on Mylot.

Yes, it would be very difficult to do so. Although, if I reach the end of the year and I'm $10 short, I will include my myLot earnings into the final total!

Writing and publishing ebooks on Amazon. It is a lot of work to learn. It took my almost a year before I started publishing anything once I decided to do it.
