My cell phone does not take good close-ups and is better at snapping photos from a distance. I have an old digital camera that does better but I can't find it. I applied to a place that buys photos but I need better equipment to take decent photos.

@amadeo It is an Android. I am taking better photos with practice. I guess I need a lot of practice since I have never taken a class.

I agree that the resolution is very good on iPhone cameras. That's all I use unless I go on vacations. My camera zooms much further, etc.

@amadeo I know. My camera is compact. My husband uses it, and I use my phone or iPad.

My cellpphone camera is not the best,,but it is serviceable for most things. I use the Kodak camera if I need more detail or a better picture, but sometimes even that doesn't work.

@snowy22315 I should take my nokia camera and see that it does work.

I was very happy with my digital camera. But then I noticed the photos from Hubby's smartphone were much clearer, sharper - everything was better about it. I finally got an upgrade on the phone and now I can take better detailed photos . . . however I still think I can work faster with a digital camera.

@amadeo I don't like the front camera. It will not make me pretty. Lol

It depends on the type of phone and the type of camera I suppose. I prefer pictures taken by a real photographer.

I have an iPhone 5S and I am not satisfied with its camera. But my normal camera is a Nikon, that takes amazing photos, so maybe this is the reason why my phone camera is not okay for me.

Now you can laugh at me. I do not know how to get the pictures off of my cell phone so I do not use the camera on it. I do not know if there is a cell phone that has a chip in it or not. If there was I would get that cell phone. If it did not cost to much money because I am cheap.

Certainly the phones of today take great photos. I'm sure more and more are using just their phones as cameras.

I have a very cheap smartphone so the pictures are awful. I actually feel a bit embarrassed using a real camera these days as everyone else just uses their phones. I can't afford an expensive phone though.
