I think it would be a great idea. I had no experience on this but my students have a custom made round pool in their house. Every summer they swim there and have fun with their cousins. Just make sure that you cover the pool if it is not used for safety purposes.

My nieces and nephews always want to have a pool at home because it is very hot hear, so i just bought a inflated pool for them. I think it is cool to have a pool at home kids love it.

I wouldn't know. I've never had one. I live close enough to a beach that I don't need one. :-)
