Whats your favorite flower or vegetable to plant for spring?

Hi all, this is my first discussion! Personally I love many different colors of morning glory, There so hardy. They stand up to even the high wind and hot temperatures of southern new mexico! Though as far as vegetables, I like potatoes they have such a amazing bright green vines . Also they are so useful in potato soup,yum!
