“Can You Work With An Incompetent Boss?”

Before I became a home-based ESL teacher, I was working in a local government agency in my city. We were deployed to work with the community. The job is suitable to my personal interest and that is, to help the community to implement their respective projects. However, after a few months, I had seen the flaws of our Project Manager. It is sad to say that he is an incompetent boss of the team. He lacks skills in handling the team. In fact, the team can work without his presence. It was almost a year that I tried to understand his unskillful behavior in the field. But then, I decided to resign because of his incompetence. I cannot learn something from him and there is no challenge working with him. “How about you, guys?” “Can you deal working with an incompetent co-worker?” Image Credit: pixabay.com

That's the best thing to do. I also tried to ask one of my ex-bosses to be on another team.

@mlgen1037 When I had resigned, I heard that he was demoted. The management had seen his flaws. His arrogance made him in such situation.

I can't even stand working under a boss, I had been the boss of myself for almost my entire life so what more if I am placed under an incompetent one

I have the same sentiment. I got tired dealing with my ex-bosses. That's the reason why I worked online. I must say that I am the boss of my time.

It is a shame that your boss didn't inspire your respect. Some people are not cut out to be bosses.

During my interview exit, I found out that he was not also eligible to work in the government. At that moment, I felt so disappointed.

Unfortunately an incompetent boss can ruin a working environment. Thankfully I have a very good boss.

Yes, I can. Dealt with it before, I deal with it now. As long as the pay is good, I'm good. Good being a relative term.

I don't like incompetent boss. An incompetent boss don't know who do well or not well.

It is so difficult and needs a lot of patience. It was like trying to blind myself with the real truth in a working place.

Some people are not born to lead a company. A boss must be competent, I would be unable to work for an incompetent boss.

I agree. I sometimes make a joke with my team that the boss needs a Leadership Training.

@Shavkat If he was not born to be a leader, no training will help.

If it is co-worker, it is okay. But if it is a boss?!? duhh.... It is really hard to work with those kind of people. It will sure be frustrating to work with.

You said it right. I sometimes felt so drained. It was really a way of thinking why he is my boss.

@rakski This boss never had the chance to prove himself. He is quite arrogant.

@Shavkat true it is hard to work with them. Especially if their head is full of themselves know-it-all

My boss is incompetent in every sense of the word. Still I chose to stick with her for personal reasons.

I understand where it is coming from. Before I decided to resign, there is another job that waits for me. I cannot afford to wait for long in finding a job.
