When you love a person, you want to see him or her happy. His or her problems will become yours and you give all your effort in solving that. I have seen many people who want to possess their partners, as if they’re any object. And if one starts to feel suffocated, and wants to come out of the relationship, he or she becomes victim of their partner’s jealous or anger.
I couldn’t find out how people can harm their loved ones just because he couldn’t live with him or her. Will you call it love? Or is it simply an obsession?

Love is when you accept someone completely. Obsession is when you love someone advantageously. Obsession is a kind of psychological problem. It's may be driven by an ideology or a desire or any kind of culture. It's a kind of domination over other person where there is no actuality of psychology. They just feel that this behaviour makes them feel good without any strong reason. A kind of distress it is.
