How far can you go for love

I just finished seeing a series on our local channel where a maiden stole the golden bracelet of the Royal palace to sell so that her poor lover wouldn't die of hunger and when it was found out she agreed to die instead of the royalty killing the boy.
This is alot to bear just to make sure the one you love is okay. So how far can you actually go for love?

I am serious about this but I am willing to sacrifice my life just for the people I love.

I can try to solve their issues. But, certainly I love myself more, so I can't betray myself by dying for them.

The stories are different from the real life dear friend @Berrygal! It is there in the hands of the author to move the characters in the story...but when it comes to the love in real life it is very different! Yes...I can say I moved to an extreme to win my love who is my wife for last 32 years! Thanks!
