did you ever start the day with

i need something warm to eat or drink upon waking up. but i could never eat and drink anything that's piping hot, direct from the stove or pot. i wait for them to cool down no matter how hungry or thirsty i am. or else, i end up with a sore tongue that i keep thinking about. it's the same reason i don't eat food or drink that taste hot or spicy, either. i tend to lose my appetite when i burn my tongue. anyway, to end this post on a positive note, here's a tip for those using pictures from pixabay. try using 2 to 3 different key words when searching. instead of morning, try morning coffee. instead of coffee, try computer coffee or clock coffee. or try morning coffee clock, or coffee clock computer. another tip to narrow down your search is to click 'images' then 'photos'. this way, the 'vector graphics' and 'illustrations' will not be shown.

i start my day with a short prayer of thanks for another day on earth. Then i'll be up from my bed and have my creamy coffee. Seems not easy for me not to have something hot on my tummy.

It's lemon infused water fro me first thing in the morning. I take my breakfast one hour after. I don't use photos from pixabay. I usually use my own photo.

I use my own photos in my discussions, but this is a good tip. I also search in other languages, you get different photos.

sabrina also added a good tip, which is choosing the orientation - horizontal (landscape) or vertical (portrait) i didn't know you can search using a different language on pixabay. is the default language of your computer english?

@LadyDuck i tried it out. if english, only 1 page of photos when i searched for pizza. if italian, there are 19 pages of pictures for pizza.

@hereandthere You can chose in which language to search, you get English as default, but there is the choice among many different language. If you choose "pizza" or "spaghetti" choosing Italian, you get a lot of more real stuff than choosing English.

I always like my coffee steaming hot. I don't burn my tongue with hot beverages, but I do get the hiccups when I drink a hot beverage. :-)

I don't drink coffee or tea soon after waking up. No way I can eat too. I will eat my breakfast just before leaving for office. So that much time I am busy with house chorus. Yes, the breakfast will be cool by that time.

When I wake up, I immediately drink water with a zap of organic apple cider vinegar in it. A few drops of lemon juice would do too (it's all supposed to be for getting the digestive system ready for the day). I drink hot drinks maybe a couple hours later - when all the morning stuff is done and I get home. I can actually drink pretty hot drinks, but I do let it sit for a few minutes at least.

@hereandthere I like to think that sweat is actually good . . . the process is taking toxins out through your skin! When we are sick, we eat spicy foods on purpose so we sweat. But I hear it is quite humid out there - I am told you get enough sweating there!!

i always share with my friend about how acv helped your hubby's tummy i think another reason i don't like superhot (temp) food and drinks is my face soon starts sweating so i have to mop it off.

When I was a child, someone told me that eating or drinking hot soup all the time, could cause throat cancer. I don't know if that is true or not, but since I hate burning my tongue anyway, I conveniently use that excuse to get away with being forced to swallow down burning stuff.

pixabay is a very popular online site to get stock photos from because they're copyright-free, can be modified and used for commercial purposes. although attribution is not required, i still put the link to the actual page of the photo i use.

@mlgen1037 with pixabay, no need really. i just do it out of habit. "Using Images and Videos Images and Videos on Pixabay are released under Creative Commons CC0. It really hurts when you drink a very hot coffee. But it feels good to have one first thing in the morning, although I always drink water first, one that is not cold, just room temperature which they say is healthy.

I start every Moanday through Saturday with a pot of coffee, usually pausing it mid-brew 'cause I can't wait for it to finish. I'll sip it all day until the pot is gone, usually after lunch. If the current cup gets cold, I'll finish it anyway. I just like coffee in general. On Sunday, though, I start the day out with two Bloody Mary drinks and I usually don't drink coffee at all that day. ???
