Does heavy wind make you tired?

We had really high winds yesterday. It seems to make me tired. So I did not get back here. I hear we had up to 50 mph. I am running late this morning so this is brief. Today is the third day in a row I woke up without a headache. Yay! it is a better quality of sleep. Influenza B is reported to be in another outbreak. We seem to have a lot of kids out with flu and flu like illnesses. Sent one home last week throwing up. A large family that is in our school seems to have bed bugs. That is sad for them, as their parents do not do a lot to keep them in good shape anyway, and bed bugs are so hard to get rid of. Since we did not have school Monday, our sign language class is tonight. Hubby will take me out to eat afterwards, so I do not know how much I will be back tonight. Maybe tomorrow. Have a great Wednesday, be good to each other. I am glad the wind is calm today. We are supposed to work with the horses.

I love wind, it invigorates me. EWWW about the bed bugs and I thought we were pretty much done with the flu for this year but evidently not. Stay healthy.

I am back to drinking elderberry juice and it seems to help. I do not mind some wind, and it depends on what I have to do in it. Wind from a certain direction makes a funny kazoo like sound in our vent pipes for the furnace.

@BelleStarr It is kind of entertaining, since I know what is causing it.

@GardenGerty I can imagine that having the wind make your pipes whistle is pretty annoying.

We are getting nasty winds. It's not so much wind that makes me sleepy, but the nasty, gloomy weather! I'm ready for spring!

I just have felt very tired, both yesterday and again today. The sun finally shone this afternoon while we worked with the horses, though and that was nice.

@GardenGerty We've been getting snow again. Not a ton, but it's been snowing for about a week and some of it is sticking, though it tends to melt by the time afternoon hits. But it's still in the 20's temp wise and I'm tired of it!

It's quite windy here in St Catharines, today. I can see some shingles flapping on a roof across the street. I hate to think what the wind's doing to my siding. (One piece came off a couple weeks ago in less strong wind than what we're having now.)

Bed bugs are a serious problem, I hope the parents will do something to fix the problem.

I hope so too. These kids are so sweet and their folks are so "weird".

@GardenGerty This is sad, kids need a good family who take care of them.

@GardenGerty I am out at least twice a day feeding animals. But if I dont have to work in it I am not bad. When I have to do extra then it seems to wear me out faster.

My weight of 106 pounds and a strong wind do not mix well @GardenGerty . I'm surprised I didn't wind up in Kansas this morning.

Nope, you would have blown on through without stopping. We would have suggested rocks in your pockets to anchor you down.

I grew up where the wind blew all the time. I love it. To me it seems calming, like a lulaby. I especially love sleeping when the wind is blowing outside as it brings back great memories.

The wind I am hearing tonight is calming. I think up to a point I enjoy it. Yesterday was beyond that point of enjoyment.

I remember when I was a kid I would go under the trees and just enjoy the soft wind until I fall asleep.

All this lingering winter weather makes me tired. I need some sunshine and warmer temperatures.

Do you have a particular reason to learn sign language? I'm just curious.

Any student who has communication impairments benefits from learning language with the support of sign. We have one such non verbal student now, and another student who does speak but understands sign better. We work with autistic children who often need pictures and visuals because the learn better by seeing rather than hearing. Signing Exact English helps teach English sentence structures and prefixes and suffixes so that students get proper language learning.

@GardenGerty Thanks for that. It's really interesting. It is the first I've heard of sign language being used with autistic children.

Yes, and things that rattle in the wind add to that disturbance.

Heavy wind rattles my windows and keeps me awake. I prefer a light wind. That's soothing. :-)

Yes, there is a big difference. Sometimes the wind makes my vent pipes for the heater hum like a kazoo.
