Is it possible for a parent to love all her children equally?

I have asked this question to my mom several times. Every times, she replied positively. But, my question is how is this possible to love the two kids in the same way. My mom may have unconsciously given more love to one of us. Though neither of us(me and my sister) felt neglected ever. Yet, this question remains in my mind. What's your view?

I love all my kids equally. They are all very different and have their own personalities! Love isn't like a liquid in a glass that as you have more kids you need to take some from one kids cup to put in another kids. Love has no limitations. Its the glow you feel when you see them get off the school bus. The warmth inside as they happily solve a puzzle. A1

I think a parent loves her children in different ways. But sometimes it is hard to love them equally. I have a very trroublesome child who has made my life hell at times and a very easy child who goes out of her way to be nice to me. It's hard not to have a favourite.

I've always wondered the same thing and it's hard to understand how you love them the same. Maybe for me it's because my dad didn't he always favored and loved my sister more but with everything people have favorites so i always think parents do. Maybe if you're a parent you see it differently and are able to love equally.

Well now my Mother has made a trap for herself in picking the most evil sister..long story. Favoritism does not pay off.

It is possible for a parent to favor one child over another, though getting them to admit it is difficult. Even so, the love of a parent for all of her/his children is equally the same in the case of losing one of their children tragically. No matter how much one may have been the favorite, the other will be forever mourned and the hole in the heart will always be void. There is no replacement.

Love is never ending so of course you can love children the same amount. =) I love my kids all the same but in different ways because they are each very different.

I love my children equally, no matter what... Even if sometime one of them make me angry, I still love him/her the same. I will never give up one of them for another, and they will always be my best thing ever happen to in my life - be a father

Some parents love their children equally. And other parents have favorites.
