My experiment - a day of not posting a discussion

Well I intended to do more than a day but as I can already see a pattern emerging I thought I would post the results of my experiment. 1. It is definitely easier to earn if you post discussions. Once people stop responding and commenting earnings start to decrease and if there are no new discussions going up it's quite noticeable. 2. I had to interact twice as hard on other people's posts than I do normally and of course there's no guarantee they will reply so as our earnings depend on other people responding and commenting that's important. My conclusion is you can earn moderately well from just interacting on other people's discussions but you will have to work much harder to see your earnings rise. If you can find a topic that is popular earnings will increase twice as quickly. Good luck everyone. Do what makes you happy!

Although I hadn't done any experimenting in this way, I was quite sure that I earned a lot more if I posted discussions along with responding and commenting.

It's so much easier. I have posted two discussions this morning and I already have the notifications coming in.

@JudyEv Yes it might be different later on but I like posting discussions and getting the replies. It's good to get opinions from various people,

@sprite1950 I think that those who have been here for quite some time and who interact a lot seem to be able to get away with only posting occasionally but the rest of us need to post more regularly.

I don't always post.. I think it depends how you look at it. For me, earnings is quick if you're having fun but if it's a challenge, it takes longer..

Well, for me, I find it takes a little of both. The more active I am responding back to the Discussions I have already started, along with responding back to discussions others are starting, does help in the earnings, but I many times respond back to others more than starting a New discussion.

It think if you post a discussion half the work is done. If you are interacting on the discussions of other people you have to search for something that interests you so it takes longer and then you have to wait for them to get back to you.

I have days like that to. Sometimes during the day I think of good ideas to write but when I get on the computer I have forgotten about them. I try to keep a small pad and pen in my pocket to write myself a little note.

@sprite1950 You are right, sometimes I cannot get into a discussion, I draw a blank and that is when I know I should come back here a little later.

It is difficult to gauge what topic will engage the interest of users. I have had my discussions go to the top and some languishing with just a few responses. I therefore feel one must post a few discussions and not just rely on one.

What I do is post one and if it takes off I won't bother with another. If it falls flat I will do another. I always get one that does better than the other. We can't expect to be popular all the time!

As I said I'm also experimenting..yeah I observed that the earnings is bit down without posting any discussions.. yesterday I have posted one discussion after a long gap..I have seen little bit change in earnings ,as it's only depends on interaction I say it's better to balance between posting and respond to others discussions ..it's best

That's what I thought also as it has been my experience. I also find that if you answer all comments quickly and keep the conversation going, I earn more. One day, I reached 94 cwents which is the highest I have ever earned in one day. Most days I earn between 10 to 30 cents which is fine with me as I don't want to get too rich.

I normally earn around 50 cents a day but the highest I ever earned was 88 cents and that was not long after I came back here. If you earn 16-17 cents a day it's enough for a $5 cashout at the end of the month.

As you well know of me in the past I am sure, I tend to be long winded, highly opinionated, and of course love to write...so I tend to think I can never run out of things to write about. So, based on your test here that may be a good thing for me? Just don't want to bog down the system, and I do enjoy interacting and commenting and reading as much I enjoy the other part of the process. So, maybe it is win, win?

Haha, I remember you were quite funny sometimes and you were enthusiastic about your writing; there are other people like you here too so you will find many you have things in common with. You won't bog down the system so go ahead and write. Sometimes the discussions you write will do better than you imagine and vice versa. You can never tell what people will go for but you have a lot to offer here.

I agree with the conclusions you have reached based on the experiment you did.Though I do not post daily,I think I should be posting one or two discussions daily.Even if I get 5 responses each,it will be better than not posting any discussions.Of course I should comment back on all the responses I get.

If you do this sort of experiments before the end of the month AND compare it with after the first day of the month, you may see some difference. Me, I post whenever I am in the mood and have the time to do so. I know I will disappear again in a week time. Can't help it.
