why is there a such wide spread suffering ?

I have no idea why there are so many cruel people in the world that would hurt people. Disease has always been around, I am sure always will be. I am sure most of the diseases are caused by pollution, pollution caused from making "things" to make our lives easier. As far as feeling bodily pain, some people have began to feel pain only to take a pill to not feel at all. We feel to much because we have to much time to feel.

I think that this is the way life is. And knowing pain, we can learn about happiness too.

It would be wonderful to live in a world of peace as well as no pain and suffering. Don't think it would ever happen though

Personally, I doubt that God has a hand in things.

I don't have an answer to this question. The world looks like there is no God.

Many people abhor pain, hurt and suffering to other human beings. It is sad that they are able to do this. I ask questions why God allows this to happen. But whatever the reason is, I have faith that all will be resolved. When? That is a question I cannot answer.

The religious answer I guess is when man chose to disobey God he let evil lose in the world and the evil one works overtime. God is always there but mankind has free will.

I often wonder the same thing. Why does anyone have to get sick or killed by someone else. Just what is wrong with people in general.

If only one could understand it all? Maybe it goes back to Adam and Eve. They had paradise, no wars, disease or other worries. But there was one temptation...the apple. This may be God's way of reminding us what we could of had if we did not succumb to temptation. Maybe we are a victim of our own human flaws? Many things which cause suffering are a direct or indirect result of that temptation in some way. One of those interesting questions which we can only speculate about.

In most societies it seems that Humanity has been slipping away from the human soul. We have been conditioned by schools, politics and religions to care less about others and to worry about ourselves... Especially when others have different beliefs than ours. Aside from being indoctrinated and conditioned, other factors come into play. Things like pollution in our air, water and soil... chemicals in our food and the packages they are contained in (always deemed to be within safe levels for human consumption, of course)... pretty much everything given to you in pill or shot form,... Industrial Waste, nuclear seepage, and Lord knows what gets into our atmosphere every single time a spacecraft tears through it... They all combine catastrophically within our brains and bodies. Not to mention the constant war machines of the world along with the physical and mental and spiritual effects of that. There is no Wonder that humans are in a miserable state of being. Sadly, our division allows these things to continue. If we cannot agree that they are wrong and causing problems then we will never unite and demand change

I think surely God works in mysterious ways because many time I ask to myself "where is God?".
