how often do you find yourself humming a song you at first did not like?

There is this song in our country that is sang by a local artist and i never liked the song. Last night one of my friends played the song so i couldn't be rude and ask her to change the song simply because i do not like it. the song played till the end and my friend sang along to the song. this morning the song is still playing in my head and i now and again find myself humming to it.... is it a cognitive thing or is it just because i didn't like the song?

Things that we tend to dislike hold more of a weight in our memory banks. Though you still had this song in your head doesnt truly mean you liked it.
