My daughter has a Jack Russell Terrier who is very energetic and naughty. She named her dog Shadow. He is turning 2 years old this September. So far he has destroyed most of my plants and he has chewed on most of my shoes and slippers. How do you tame your JRTs

It happened all the time to puppies. They are like kids who would love to chew on anything so the humans must be responsible for this hahaha. You must know how to keep your things away from the pup. Don't ever hurt them. without teaching. They eventually can learn. And welcome to Mylot.

They can be smart sometimes. Shadow knows how to open doors. Even if we put up our slippers in the shoe rack, he somehow manages to get them. He is so cute. It breaks our hearts to punish him, but we scold him a lot. When he acts cute, it melts our hearts.

I guess my daughter should've named him The Destroyer or something. It is okay. He has long been forgiven. I hope he matures soon.

Jrts tend to shed a lot. We sweep the floor several times during the day. They are very good companions though. They are also constantly curious.
