Kheer is so much popular in India and its very easy to prepare as well as it requires very simple ingredients like Milk, rice and we can add raisin, Cashews, Almonds and pistachio in it as well and it tastes so yum, Not to forgot Sugar or we can try any other substitute like Sugar free but it tastes so good and one of my favorite. I hope its called Rice pudding in most of the countries but its popular as Kheer In India. What are your views about it? Have you ever tried Indian Sweet Dish Kheer/ Rice Pudding? Please Share. @thesupersingh nope, we mix fruits with oatmeal but it's similar to what we call here as "lugaw' or porridge which is savory..we mix it with meat and egg..

I haven't tried Kheer, but have made rice pudding many times here in the United States. I use raisins, but cashews sound so yummy! I'm afraid of I used cashews I'd eat the whole thing because I really love cashews! My mom wouldn't let me have cashews very often because she thought they were too fattening and she felt that I was too fat as I wasn't a size 4 girl's dress and didn't weigh 70 pounds when I was 12 years old when all the other girls weighed 90 pounds. She was obsessed with my being skinny...I never was, but still didn't get many cashews. I'm going to make some rice pudding with cashews in it next week. I've GOT to try it! Thanks for the idea!!!!
