My parents have both passed now and it's so long ago but I remember my mum liked 'You don't have to say you love me' by Dusty Springfield. I just can't remember my dad even listening to any music but I suppose he must have done!

well my mum used to like music from Michael learns to rock and Elton John while my dad used to like bands like Peaches and herb and artists like Lionel Richie but most times you would find them singing along to one of the songs playing.

My parents both loved country music, which is where I get my love of it. Dad was a staunch nothing-but-country person, but mom was more adventurous: she like Elvis, and when I started listening to rock and roll in the mid-70s she enjoyed quite a few of Elton John's songs. I never heard my dad mention his favorite song, but my mom's favorite was a Bill and Gloria Gaither song called "Because He Lives."
