Would you marry Someone Older Then You?

India

I think it's most common to see the Male part aged more then the female but guess when it's love, which is blind, you can expect the difference to be more as well. Like I was checking a discussion yesterday and there in it was mentioned that her husband is 30 years more older then her which i consider too much. What are your views about it? Would you marry Someone Older Then You? How older would you seem okay? Please share.

When I met Jay, marriage wasn't ever a consideration. He was five year younger than me, which as a friend it didn't pose as a problem. This age difference, as a married couple, never matters. A man thirty years older than me? I'd have a big problem with this, he'd seem more like a father!

I definitely would have preferred at least three to four years OLDER. The reason, he would take all the decisions and I would get to blame if it went wrong. Simple. No stress for my brain. The other way round...OMG ..it is responsibility. Who likes it? Not me. lol

I have had relationships with men over 20 years older than me. But my late husband and my soul mate was only seven years older than me so that must have been what I had to wait for.

I guess seven years is fine and if you are in love then no age group matters

No more than 8-10 year, because its a known fact that woman mature faster than men so that should cover the intellectual gap. Anyone that could me my dad? No way! I also would not date anyone much younger than me.

That is logical. But it could be that a person misses the father figure in life, and has been seeking that kind of protection and care. So she has opted for a person who was old enough to fill that gap. Everybody's life is different.

Sorry I didn't understand. Do you mean he's 31.5 years older then you. So for example if you are 3, then he's 61.5? Is that what you were saying?

Sour to hear that. That's what I actually typed, so I'll leave it. Sorry to hear that. My first "girlfriend" was "evil," but that was in my early teenage days. After that I've been more fortunate, though that first "relationship" left a sour taste in my mouth for many years.

Some years ago, my younger brother married a woman who was several years older than he was. At first he kept the marriage a secret from the rest of us. I think he was coping with his own issues, people questioning the merit of their marriage because of her race and age. And to be truthful, when we found out we were shocked. Because of this issue in my family though, I know now for a fact that love can sometimes see beyond age and that sometimes the difficulties really arise with people not integral to the union trying to resolve this age gap in their own minds. For myself, I would marry a man who is a couple years older or younger than me, but I think I would stop where there is a vast age difference.

I think love rules. In my life having the guy (me) be a few years older has been good. But I've also dated slightly older women. Love grows where it chooses to grow. You never know.

@thesupersingh The chances of getting to know someone with that age gap are so low. But who knows, I might! Though I prefer my own company, especially being an introvert, hahaha! :D
