Wheh I decided to have my hair done,I did not know that I would pay an arm and a leg. I paid $18 for a simple bob. Back in the Philippines, one can pay for a hair cut for as low as $1 and as high as $3 or more if you want to get a hair treatment.
They say our hair is our crowning glory. The hair stylist here in Korea is really skilled.I will not mind to pay a little more as long as im satisfied.

It's really cheaper when the salon is outside the mall.

Sorry to hear that. I am thinking of cutting my own hair but now that you post this, I might as well go to a nearby salon. lol
You are right, here you can have a haircut for less than a dollar to more than $10 depending on the kind of salon you got to. I used to have my own hair cutter when I was younger but since he grew old and I moved away from the place I used to live, I can no longer avail of his service. But it is hard to find a good hair cutter that can make you satisfied.

It depends of the hair salon. For a man's shampoo and haircut in France it varies between 10 and 50 Euros or more, with an average 30 Euros. It is cheaper in villages or small towns than in large cities, but hairdressers are often less skilled (they need a higher diploma to open a hair salon in a city than in a village).

If you just cut your hair short, It will be one or two dollars; If you want your hair curly, It will be fifteen to fifty dollars, or more. Different shops charge differently.

Haircut prices vary. You might get a haircut for 25-100 pesos. The more expensive, the better; you might obtain better treatment and good chat wehn paying 100 or more pesos

@Iam_jauntyjen This is for a basic cut in a normal saloon, if you want to go to a very good hairdresser be ready to spend the double.

My hairstylist charges $60 for wash, cut, and blowout. I think that is expensive. And though she gives me a small discount, and I don't pay $60, it is still a lot for me. But she works from home so I do not need to give her a tip.

Wow that's expensive. I think that equivalent to having a hair rebond or Brazillian blowout in the Philippines

I guess the reason why it is cheaper is because men have lesser hair to cut than women lol.

I pay about US$3. Where U go is on a street called Soi Hollywood because there used to be a large disco there that burnt down. Now there are about 20 barber shops and the price is the same in all of them. But other places can charge much more!

@Iam_jauntyjen That is true, NJ. Everytime a friend or relative comes here, they get a haircut, massage, pedi/manicure and facial because it is cheaper here.

It really depends on where are you getting your hair cut. High end establishments charge higher fees. It could run a couple of dollars.

Wow, some places sure got reasonable prices. Locally, Honolulu, averages around $15 to $25 for a haircut. I found a school Hawaii Institute of Hair Design about 2 decades ago. When I first started to go it was just $5.50! Now I pay $10. The students do good work and a professor is always around to check or correct things. I get a haircut to a trim.
