A very interesting story about an orange male cat named Oliver who will reunite with his owner Marcus Johnson after a two year separation. Marcus was traveling with his companions from New York City to Ocala Florida when he pulled over to a rest stop on Interstate 95 in Woodbridge. Virginia in 2016. Oliver ran away from his owner into the woods at the rest stop. Marcus was afraid he would never see his cat again. Amanda Tubbs who is an employee at the VCA Woodbridge Animal Hospital wanted to adopt Oliver after she found him near her home. When Amanda found the microchip, she contacted Marcus in his home in Ocala recently. Marcus was excited that the veterinarian found his cat safe and sound, Marcus will be making the long ride from Florida to Virginia to reunite with his cat Oliver.

I would have been miserable to leave my lost cat and drive to FL. So glad the cat had the microchip and was reunited.

Oliver must have gone to many homes to see if anyone had food to share with him.

A two year separation? Most people would have forgotten about the cat

That is true since Marcus admitted he was sad he felt responsible that he felt his cat in Virginia after Oliver escaped from him at the rest stop.

It is a good thing Oliver was equipped with a microchip. Many cat owners I know are not inclined or cannot afford to do that.

I think it is expensive to chip an animal.
