Grow Old Gracefully?

We have all heard the cliche "grow old gracefully". Well I refuse! My plan is to be that unpredictable, spirited , older woman who never fits into the traditional mold. I want to live life to the fullest and love with all I am. I pray that I always live out my faith and never compromise. I want to continue to pursue my dreams like a kid graduating high school. I will keep dying my hair and wearing clothes that express my mood and personality. I will play on the playground with my grandbabies and keep learning to play new instrument. I want to live until I die.
How about yall? What are your ideas on growing old?

@MALUSE There you differ from Ms. Valentine. She had salt and pepper. My idea of old age is..
I really love this picture of Nafisa Ali. It is an old picture, but there are a few others that have made me realize there is beauty even in gray. Leela Naidu is the other lady..wearing hair right matters.

Don't you think perspective changes as you move into a new decade? I know mine sure did when I hit the 80's and I'm not sure if I want to test the 90's or God forbid the 100's.

I think it does, but aging is not the only factor that changes our perspective. I believe it is also life circumstances.

I can say I am like you. I grew up with a lot of friends and I met most of them when I was 9 years old. I am now 75 years old and we are still good friends and are in touch with each other very often even though we do not all live close to each other. When we get together we are the craziest group of "kids" that never grew up. Most of us went to church together as well as school. After graduating and many of us going on to different schools, we always keep in touch and I know that it will always be that way.

I am 49 and my 2 best friends are 50. We are so busy taking care of our families and aging parents that we don't get to hang out and just have fun much anymore, but when we do, age is not a factor. We have fun. I am at the beach now with one of those friends and my youngest daughter. We are as full of life as my daughter, so I understand exactly what you are saying.

I have the heart of a curious child. A longing deep down inside of me, to be learning something new, until God says 'common home!'
