Humility, saying sorry

Why is saying sorry so hard at times? It is because we are forced to face what we have done and acknowledge that we have failed. An apology calls for true humility but pride makes it hard for us.
Is it easy for you to say sorry whenever you made a mistake or hurt someone?

I am such an empath that if I say or do something that hurt another person's feelings, I immediately feel the pain that I have caused. I apologise right away and feel guilty for hours afterward until the person has forgiven me.

Yes, it's better to apologize right away than feeling guilty and thinking about what we did cause it will only make us feel miserable if we didn't.

whenever i commit the mistake, i always apologize with sincerity so the friendship stays. but when somebody commits mistake directed toward me and the person asks for forgiveness that is not sincere, i can read his eyes and mind, and not accept his apology.

@ridingbet oh I did, a few times. It's better for them not to apologize if they are not sincere, right?

It's a childish thing to say sorry and not being sincere. But sometimes, it makes us feel better if we just forgive them, although it would be nice if they apologize sincerely.

@neelia_lyn haven't you received a person saying sorry but is not sincere? sarcasm is what follows next to that fake apology.

Right, if we know we did wrong we should say sorry. It helps both parties to heal :)

Saying sorry is when someone admits they did something wrong and it is very hard for them to admit that.

If I have committed the mistake, I will apologize but if I know I am right and being accused, I will not apologize.

Yeah, we don't apologize for something wrong done to us. We forgive, though.

@neelia_lyn That is correct, Neelia. It is a case to case basis though.

Right, as long as you admit it's your fault.

The problem with apologizing is that they tend to abuse or curse you more you try to humble. But karma does come back in the end.

Yes, but we know we did right when we apologized. It's their problem already if they won't accept it.
