Video game soundtracks

My favorite video game of all time is Donkey Kong Country2. The thing that made that game so enjoyable for me besides the actual play was the soundtrack. Every level was set to the most beautiful, fitting background music and sometimes I would leave the game running without playing just to listen to the music! Even now, before I download any video game app into my phone, I listen to the background music first. If I don't like the music, I won't play the game. For me it is a combination of music and game play that makes it enjoyable. Here is one of my favorite DKC2 themes in remix.

I am not fond of playing video games but i didn't know that the music can be as exciting as the game. I will try to check on that video game hehehe.

Most music annoyed me or made me anxious so I turned the volume off. My son enjoys the music though and has been trying to play them on a keyboard.

I loved video games and I agree that if the music is not pleasant the game is less interesting.
