Alison Mack ... I 'don't know her from Adam' (or maybe the saying should be 'don't know her from Eve,' but I've never heard it that way)---all I know is 'she is/was kinda cute delivers her lines (in the Superman-series SMALLVILLE) cute-ly.' https://youtu.be/Ws2Pv_P5qNo I saw the FOX NEWS about her arrest--telling us she "faces 15 years in prison" ... I'm not sure if there's an 'impending court-date' or if she's already gone to court and 'faces 15 years' of house-arrest (at her mother and father’s California home ... may only use a cell phone provided to and approved by the government to “make and receive calls to and from phone numbers agreed to by counsel” ... “may not use a computer or access the internet through any means, except she may use a single internet capable device, approved and monitored by PTS [Pre-Application Tracking System], as may be necessary to communicate with PTS, defense counsel, a treatment provider, or anyone else with prior approval from PTS and government.”) Looking at other reports about Alison's conviction, it seems she was only inviting women to the group that had empowered her as a woman (NXIVM---a company that claims to aim for 'raising human-awareness,' although some people believe it (or DOS---a society within NXIVM) was a cult). Either she didn't know that the women were being brought in for 'trafficking & forced-labor,' or she (allegedly "raised in a liberated household") didn't know that those crimes were any-different than just 'helping others to get "liberated"' and 'helping the others find work-for-a-living.' And yes, we (SMALLVILLE-fans, sure; but more-importantly the judge(s) who decide her case) can understand the reasons-why she did what she did; but--just like enemy-soldiers are as "guilty" as their commanding-officers (in America, anyway)--she is still as 'guilty' as Keith Raniere (the company-founder who "manipulated" her).

That's something I 'hate' about TV-shows: we know "they're just actors playing the parts that writers wrote for them to fit into the story," but we feel like 'the actors really are the people they're playing (even though they only share 'a few key similarities' with the characters)' & we think we "know" them if we learn a lot about the character ... giving the actor traits that they never REALLY had!'

@ConVolines umm, okay. They shouldn't think that of Hollywood or Silicon Valley or Branson, Missouri, either---shouldn't think they're anything but 'places where people go to construct things for display' (I should also include 'The Paseo (OKC)' in that list) ... the people there aren't any-different than people who work anywhere else, and their 'displays' aren't any different than the stuff parents stick to their refrigerators with magnets (except the professional stuff costs a little bit more).

@mythociate No-one should ever be fooled into thinking Pedowood is anything other than it is.

Most people join these groups/cults in ignorance without doing any research. They think they are participating in a "good cause" but then the whistle blows, the lights come on and the cockroaches scatter. Those who believed they are doing worldly good are left in handcuffs wondering "WTF just happened?!" It happens to the best of us on a daily basis so I don't judge too harshly. God is our witness and His truth will prevail...eventually.

Why would he give tools if we are not supposed to use them?
This is why it might even be wise for Christians to 'block out the world's media.' But that's just 'on first thought'; 'on second thought,' we shouldn't believe our creator was intelligent enough to KNOW our senses would tell us sinful things & yet STU-PID enough to give them to us & let us keep them!

@mythociate It is that type of mindset that considers Free Will a curse. That wasn't the Creator's intention. It's intention was to give us the tools with which to fully experience the duality of a world we have, of our own Free Will, chosen to accept. If humanity chooses to learn by the serpent, God bows to and honors his Free Will. With the freedom to choose for ourselves, NO ONE is trapped forever unless they choose to be.

@Starmaiden Well, 'past FREE choices' trap one until they can make 'the choices that will get them OUT of their past path' (example: you CHOOSE to enlist in military, you lose a lot of "free choice" until you 'opt-out'). And your past choice will stay on your 'worldly' record FOREVER (unless they are 'expunged' by all keepers-of-history & forgotten after all who remember 'pass away').

The actual report charges her with trafficking and child trafficking. I don't think this would be the case if she just innocently invited people to join NXIVM.
