MMO is for Massively Multiplayer Online and RPG is for Role Playing Game if that helps.

I haven't played it yet myself, but I have heard some pretty great things about the Legend of Heros series, particularly in regards to its world building.
Unfortunately I have been playing more simulation, roguelike and strategy games lately so the only RPGs I can recommend are old games like Suikoden I and II, Legend of Mana, and Earthbound. But there are some indie titles that I am watching though that might fit the bill. H E A R T B E A T, and Heartbound look like they are going to be good and each of them have a demo out. My Time in Portia is also likely going to have its full release soon too and it has been pretty fun so far from what I have played of it.
