Hello everyone.
As I read the decision of @allknowing of stopping their daily newspaper subscription, I remember the discussion me and my husband last Saturday when we bought some sketch pads for my daughter at the bookstore.
He told me that maybe the publishing and printing companies nowadays has less and less income. This is because all of the things now that you need to research can be found on the internet. Even some schools here now uses iPad to download the textbooks of the kids in school. I still have some books here. I am still reading some novels in paperback.
How about you, do you prefer reading on paperback or online?

While I do enjoy physical copies of my reading material, I cannot deny the convenience technology has given us in accessing content. While both options have their perks and drawbacks, I have to admit digital is winning me over these days.
I kind of wish we had this technology when I was in school. Books were always heavy and expensive. You also had to keep them in good condition. It would have been nice to be able to highlight passages like you can do on tablets without it being a problem.

Glad my discussion triggered this one. I am not much of a reader and so in my case there is no question of reading paperback novels.

In AP they need current events for portfolio. Also that is true, for arts and other things lol

Either when it's there. But most of the time I just watch it on youtube or the news itself.

There are pros and cons to both. I love the feel and scent of a paperback and it's easier on my eyes, but if you're renting it from a library there is an 80% chance someone put a booger on a page. Disgusting. Online takes away the pressure of a deadline and you can easily access a wide variety of books and never lose your page, but the lights can strain your eyes and dry them out, which can be painful.

These days I read everything online. I would not buy any paper items unless it was something absolutely necessary. Even at our place of worship, most of us use a Bible that is uploaded on our Ipad or Cell Phones.
