Gaining weight is as easy as losing weight

Gymnastics and dieting are commonplace around here. While the former is associated with checking weight and keeping fit I believe the latter has a lot to do with both adding weight and losing weight. One queer observation I have made over time is that the number of people unsuccessfully trying tot lose their weight is fairly equal to the number of people who are unsuccessfully trying to add some weight. My assumption is therefore that gaining weight is as easy as losing it . What is your take?

Both are at a disadvantage when it comes to losing or gaining since neither is easy to accomplish.

I think as we grow older trying to lose weight and keep it off becomes more difficult. Things like a slowing metabolism, menopause, trying to maintain motivation can offset our efforts to lose. In addition, those which have wear and tear injuries just cannot work out as often or as hard as they did when younger....
