Yes! because I love watching it. If you really watch the show most often you will know. Most people say its a male..because it's a male really.

oh, that's funny, alright. but i think winnie the pooh is a he. in story books, the pronoun "he" is used to refer to winnie-the-pooh. i don't really care about the gender, though. all i know is that winnie-the-pooh is so cute and adorable.

Very interesting and good question!!! Everyone'll tell u his/her own opinion about it but i think that pooh is a male. We should use "he" for it instead of "she". Either its a male or a female, it does n't a matter for me. The real thing ist that foe me that i like it veryyyyyyyy muchhhh and want to see it again and again daily.

I think that's an old joke if I'm not mistaken hehhehe:). Pooh has a very low voice which means Pooh could be a boy...but on the other hand he's wearing a blouse I think so he could be a girl...my best guess HE's GAY hahahaha :)

My instinct also tells me Pooh is a male. hehehe!! Although, there might be some possibility that he's gay. hahahha!! jk!! He's just too darn sensitive and nice for a guy!! He's probably just into his feminine side more than his masculine side. lolz!!

'Guess my post would contradict with that of many others. Nevertheless, just like the previous posters, not only me but also my one yr old son liked Winnie the Pooh so much. Pooh is usually the design for his Disney apparels & toys.
Winnie the Pooh is actually a SHE. Here is why i said this:
(excerpt from Wikipedia)
Milne named the character Winnie-the-Pooh after a toy bear owned by his son, Christopher Robin Milne, who was the basis for the character Christopher Robin. His toys also lent their names to most of the other characters, except for Owl and Rabbit, who were probably based on real animals, and the Gopher character, who was added in the Disney version. Christopher Robin's toy bear is now on display at the Donnell Library Center Central Children's Room in New York.[1]
Christopher Milne had named his toy after Winnipeg, a bear which he and his father often saw at London Zoo, and "Pooh," a swan they had met while on holiday. The bear, called "Winnie," was known as a gentle bear who never attacked anyone, and she was much loved for her playfulness. This is exactly what inspired Milne to write about Pooh Bear.[2] Pooh the swan appears as a character in its own right in When We Were Very Young.
Another site that supports my claim that Winnie is indeed a FEMALE is
