Companion Robot Pet Cat. Meow!

I was recently browsing through the internet when I saw this amazing robot pet companion cat. (There are dogs too). I LOVE cats. Meow! I had six cats but when the family split up the cats were taken to a new home. I built a place at my brother’s house but because they had six dogs who would shred a kitten to pieces, I was unable to get a new one. I like my cats half wild, that is, they can roam through the village and hunt for food if they wish. I cannot keep my cat caged up. And I don’t like them too clingy. When I saw this robot cat it is perfect for me. No litter box, no food, no hair dropping and low maintenance. You can pet it and it responds just like a real cat. It meows, blinks, purrs, roll over for a tummy scratch, snoozes and wakes up when you come near or pets it. Batteries are required off course. What an ideal companion for affection. I know that this is mainly for elderly people and helps in therapy, But I WANT ONE! They were priced at $99.00. 85% people says it was a life changing gift. One person said that it stopped working, but she had bought it second hand. This is one of the few days I like technology. The instant I put my hands on a cat, I feel better already, LOL. It releases stress of the day. Am I crazy to want a robot cat? Would you get one? I seriously think this is an ideal gift for geriatric or invalid people. And me, off course. Agreed. But my niece is allergic so I can't keep one in the house. But I do so love kittens. I miss them!

Not sure why anyone would get a robot cat when real ones need homes so desparately, but if you ar in a situation where you can't have one, I guess I understand it.

Some places in senior homes do not allow pets and these animals have therapeutic benefits for the age and the old. They give emotional support.

Although, I do not own a pet I would not buy a robot pet. Perhaps, real one is better.

@FayeHazel I think they were trying to pass it off as an ideal gift , but I do like the invention.

Ah, you understand. Also for old and invalid people. Studies show it can restore appetite and gives companionship. also low cost maintenance.

So true. But in the absence of the real thing...second best is good too.

I would bring a real cat,but if someone is allergic, then there is no other option. So they can get a robot cat.
