Do you have a family member who is always telling you how to raise your kids?

That member would be my sister in law. Her and my brother have 3 children 11,8 and 3 years old and everytime I talk to my mom about a problem with my son, my sister in law ALWAYS knows hoe to do something better. It drives me insane. The mere mention of something sends her into a tyraid of how she did it with her children and how her way is the correct way for things to be done. AAARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

My mom tried to do that at times, but my wife and I just accept her advice, and then we might or might not follow it.

Yes my mother and my to be mother in law. I wish that they would jump off a clief. I get so sick of them telling us what to do. They act worse than the kids when they don't get what they want. Plus they always throw in our face the grandparents rights. Well screw that what about parents rights to raise thir own kids. We have more right than they do. So as far as I am concerned when it comes to their right. It is and will always be grandparents not parents.

Sorry don't have kids. I'd be annoyed though if someone was tell me how to raise them. Tell them they had their time, now it's yours.

it's very common here in my country for elders to do this. sometimes, it gets to me, especially since, i'd like to get things done myself (hoping for some independence), but then i realize that our parents, grandparents, grandaunts, etc., just want the best for us. maybe so, they find it hard to believe that we're all grown up and could actually survive in this world.

Yes my mum does and so does my mother inlaw, It is really annoying i dont mind them giving me advice but most of the time it isnt advice they actually tell me i am doing it wrong and this is how i should do it, They understand that there are more then 1 way to do things and it doesnt always have to be there way, and even when i do it there way it still isnt good enough!
