When your life is not how you thought it would be...

We all know life isn't fair, but how do you deal with certain situations like for example: your younger cousins gotten married and you are still single. Your best friend or old school friends have a nice vehicle and you are still catching public transportation or they all have homes and you are still living with your parents. How do you tell yourself that everything will be OK or how do you make yourself feel better?

I would try to work harder. Life is what we make it. We need to do something to reach what our heart's desires.

I understand what you are saying, but sometimes it seems as though you are trying and working hard to get what you know you deserve, but still it's like you keep failing, or obstacles keep getting in your way.

@cindychris33 that's part of life. It's a challenge out there everyday. So never stop doing and reaching what you aim.Think positive that is all we can do

I think this is something many people feel. We all see the mistakes we made in the past and feel like if we worked harder that things would be different. Wouldn't it suck to go back in time and find out that if we worked harder, things would have been way worse? Or would it suck more to go back and see that things would be better?

I don't know that I really tell myself anything except to face reality. I could have done things differently and had different experiences, but the truth is, I didn't and I am for the most part happy with my life. I believe things could always be better, but they may never be better than they are right now!

It's not an issue of fairness, it's an issue of wanting change in your own life. The best way to bring about change is to appreciate what you already have. What you appreciate: Appreciates. You will be happier and find more success and good things coming your way. If we go around thinking "woe is me and life is so unfair" that's exactly what we will get. If we go around in life, saying what a beautiful day, I am so lucky to be alive, we will attract more resources in our lives. Sending positive vibes your way.

Focus on the good things in life. Sometimes it is harder to look but there is always something good everyday.

one thing we must accept in our life, We can't do anything if things beyond our control... We must accept the life as it is.. if we keep on worrying , life would become miserable and hence accept changes and adopt , however try your best leave the rest..we should accept the pain always

You gotta believe it will get better... And you shouldn't compare your life to someone else's because then it can leave you disappointed and discouraged.

Yeah.... We should never compare anyone with us. Meanwhile should also do smart and hard work to achieve our goals. Must overcome laziness completely. It is the greatest enemy and also the a self obstacle which is restricting us not to go forward to achieve our destination.

That is so true. Laziness can stop us from achieving a lot of things.

The way I see it, where people may thrive in one area of their life, they are lacking something in another area. What I lack in material wealth, I've gained in spiritual wealth. Spiritual wealth is something you take with you when you leave this world.

I feel that this is one of the closest things to the truth I have read. I feel I have a large amount of spiritual wealth.
