“Do you still make a long-distance call?”

It has been a long time that I haven’t heard about a long-distance call from a person. I am reminiscing the moment when talking with my granny last month. She had asked me to have a long-distance call to her friend. Taking note of the chances, I made a discussion out of it. At her age 99, I need to explain about having the option of contacting others using social media with the aid of WiFi. By the way, she is nearly 100 next month. You read it right. A centennial age and the family is so excited about it.

I am happy for you, Shavkat. She still likes to move around?

@Shavkat Your grandma is amazing considering her age. Will you be here too?

@mlgen1037 No, my friend. That's the sad part. Her siblings and my family have family inheritance issue.

I haven't made a long distance call for a long time. I think Wechat chat will be more convenient and free.

These days unless someone is in another country nothing is considered long distance on a mobile phone so nope, I rarely think of it.

It's funny there's really no such thing as a long distance call anymore. People used to say, "I'll let you get off the phone before you use all your minutes." Glad your grandmother is still doing well.

Wow, nearly a hundred that's good. Now it's easy to make long distance calls. I have two sons who live a long way off. We call.
