I am not sure who comes up with this.
here in NH this does more harm to the minor mental health.
This bill failed.
People who are gay are gay.You cannot make them straight.
This is so stupid and the people who does this are more stupid.
Trying to get the young gay people straight.Come on get a life.
We are born gay and that is it.
I am glad New Hampshire along with others ban.
People need to get over it.If your kid is gay. This is not the treatment for him.
what they need is your love there
Conversation therapy is BS.
Please no back lash on this.Thank you.

I will never understand thinking they can change who people are. I once attended a church and when I found out that there was a young man who was gay who attended the church and they were counselling him to make him straight I was furious. It was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. I never went back to that church.

@db20747 I don't think so. Who are they to judge others? As Christians you are not suppose to judge others.

We should give gay people respect. You have a point here.

I am very glad that bill failed. Stuff like that makes me so angry.
I suspect that one of our kids is gay, or else figuring out that sort of thing. Nothing has been overtly said yet, just little things that I'm noticing here and there. I'm not worried about it either way and am not making a big deal of it. I know she also joined the Rainbow Club at her school (which is a Gay-Straight Alliance club), so she'll have peer support too.

My brother is gay too and our father was not as welcoming before but now, he just wants to see my brother often.

You can't change who you were born. Yes, some people are indeed born gay and it is impossible to make them straight. In 2005 I visited The Maldives and read all people born in that country must be Muslim. I noticed that on the island the staff were workers from other countries. People need to need to accept a gay person. The person is normal yet isn't straight. Wouldn't it be boring if everyone looked the same. Conversation therapy won't make a guy person straight. Someone scared of a spider might learn to tolerate it you see.

A leopard can't change it's spots..and a person can't change from gay to straight. I think accpetance is key.

Do you mean conversion therapy??
Interestingly, it isn't yet illegal here in the UK. However, it is considered unethical and isn't offered by the NHS or the professional body of psychologists as a therapy. Anybody practising it can be struck off as a professional.
You are right. It's a horrible practice. We are who we are. We - and everybody around us - should accept people for what they are ... people.

To each his own. My client is White, and the thought of people mixing in marriage just makes her sick, I mean sick It's funny to me, I tell her all the time to each his own.

It's a natural phenomena I say...it's not a disease or something infections..so what the need of therapy and all...and what people doing is ruining there young ones life by taking all these therapies and make them feel bad about themselves..apart from this parents should except there child for who they are and try to understand that its a natural thing and give there child the love and respect they deserve.

Of course I have an opinion on this. But I am also a rationale person, and so even though I HAVE that opinion, I am not a psychiatrist nor a doctor nor a genetecis, or whatever vocation may give me more insight into what is actually going on with this lifestyle choice. At the end of the day I am generally of the mind that if it does not affect me personally, let people choose to live however they want.
